Western Nevada Musical Theatre Presents

Fiddler on the Roof! 

Come Join HIANN for an afternoon play at the Carson City Community Center. Fiddler on the Roof is a timeless, heartwarming musical that brings to life the story of Tevye, a devoted father trying to balance tradition with change as his spirited daughters challenge the old ways. Set to a rich, unforgettable score—including classics like "If I Were a Rich Man" and "Sunrise, Sunset"—this powerful tale of love, family, and resilience will leave you laughing, crying, and utterly inspired. 

WHEN: Saturday November 15th. Show starts at 2:00 pm. Arrive no later than 1:30! 

LOCATION: Carson City Community Theater, 851 E. William Street, Carson City, NV 89701

COST:            Free for HIANN Members. Guests may attend, if space is available for $33.00

HIANN is hosting another Bingo Party at Frost Yasmer Estates, a residential complex in Carson City where a couple of HIANN Brain Injury Survivors live.  It has a lovely meeting room which will accommodate 25 people.  Cari Craighead will be hosting Bingo games with food and drinks.

Support Group Meeting in Reno

The Head Injury Association of Northern Nevada is Hosting a Support Group Meeting at Raley's on Wedge Parkway on Thursday October 9th at 6:00 pm!

Together We Rise—Strength After Struggle…

Because healing is stronger (and brighter) together! 

All HIANN members, caregivers, friends and professionals are invited to our Support Group Meeting (SGM) in the Raley's "Gathering Room."  The room is located in the store on the righthand side by the beverage section.  Join us to share stories, gain strength, and discover tools for resilience in a warm, uplifting space. Together, we’ll celebrate progress, encourage healing, and remind one another that no one walks this path alone. Healing isn’t a solo act. Join us to rise, rebuild, and rediscover your strength!

HIANN Movie Night in Carson City

HIANN Movie Night In Carson City On Sunday, September 21st at 1:15 

HIANN will be hosting a Movie outing at The Galaxy Theatre in Carson City, free of charge for all HIANN members, on Sunday, September 21st starting at 1:15 pm. HIANN will also provide a $10 Galaxy gift card to each of our Survivors in good membership standing for food and beverages.

Reservations are required. Contact Ashton Smith at 208-989-1264 or 2bigfoothunters@gmail.com with the number in your party and each person’s name. Seating is not reserved, so show-up a little early to sign-in and get a good seat location.  Guests may attend by paying HIANN’s cost for tickets ($7).

When:  Sunday, September 21st .  Show starts at 1:15 PM.

Where: The Galaxy Theatres on 4000 South Curry St., Carson City, NV 89701 right behind the Casino Fandango.

HIANN Summer Picnic at Bowers Mansion

The HIANN Summer Picnic Returns to Bower’s Mansion 

The HIANN Summer Picnic returns to Bower’s Mansion.  We tried last year but the Davis Fire hit the same day and we had to cancel the picnic so we will be back this year. There is lots of parking and it’s free!  The Comstock Pavilion has seating for 160 so there is plenty of room for serving food and seating.  There is a playground, horseshoe pit and other fun stuff too.  The Mansion should be open for touring as well. Or go for a dip in the pool. Call (775) 849-0201 for more information. 

The HIANN Summer Picnic is on Saturday August 9th.  It starts at 11:00 and we hope to wrap up by 2:00.   HIANN will provide the main dish, which will be Ashton Smith’s homecooked sliders and another dish for those who don’t like beef.  Everyone is asked to bring a side dish or dessert.  If your last name begins with  A - L please bring a side dish or salad and if it begins with M - Z please bring a dessert. 

The Summer Picnic is one of HIANN’s most popular events so be sure to reserve your spot asap. This is one of the few HIANN events where guests can participate at no cost.
