MISSION STATEMENT

The Head Injury Association of Northern Nevada (HIANN) is the voice of advocacy for brain injury survivors, their families and caregivers in the Greater Northern Nevada Area. Our mission is to help brain injury survivors put their lives back together "piece by piece" through support, empowerment, resources, public awareness, social events and brain injury prevention programs.

GOALS

HIANN’s mission is promulgated through its programs, events and activities targeting four main goals for its support:

A.    Promoting Education and Public Awareness of the needs of Brain Injury Survivors.

B.    Promoting Brain Injury Prevention Programs.

C.    Providing Emotional Support, Resources, and Recreation to its members.

D.    Providing Cognitive, Educational, Physical, Nutritional and Vocational Training to its members.

You can also watch a recent local news story on HIANN to learn more about what we do to help brain injury survivors. That is followed by an introduction of HIANN’s current Members and Board of Directors. The poem inspiring HIANN’s tag line, “The Future Remains,” can also be found here.
